Somchintana Hart is an elite, accomplished jewelry designer and business entrepreneur with a history of creating magnificent, one-of-a-kind pieces for over 20 years.  Always attracted to the old Hollywood glamour, she found endless inspiration in the strong, classy women found in those Gone With The Wind-era films.  That same vitality and passion for living life to its fullest is infused into each of her works. 

Born and raised in a small village outside Bangkok, Thailand, Som moved to America in her early twenties.  With a drive and determination to succeed, she began creating her own jewelry lines, establishing Som's International Imports in 1985.  Thailand's rich traditions, exotic locales, tranquil islands, and lush rainforests continue to hold a powerful grasp on Som's designs.  The Bead Collection, which was developed several years ago, predominately displays the vibrant colors of Eastern art, prevalent in the architecture, food, and floral arrangements. 

Using only the highest quality, natural materials acquired from sites spanning the globe, precious metals include sterling silver, brass, bronze, and 14-karat gold-filled.  Mother nature is an integral component of Som's jewelry, and each stone is carefully chosen for its individual characteristics.  In alignment with Thai beliefs, stones are living things that need to harmonize with one another in order to maximize their healing powers. 

In fall of 2007, Som unveiled her company's latest and most ambitious collection to date: the L Collection,�representing love, life, and legacy.  A stunningly beautiful assortment of over twenty works, its intricate, delicate designs consist of sterling silver mixed with complimentary genuine stones, including amethyst, rose quartz, black onyx, turquoise, coral, and natural coarse crystal.  Featuring leafy trees, hearts, magical faeries, and antique keys, this romantic collection speaks to one's pure spirit deep inside us all.  Som attends exhibitions regularly in New York City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Miami, showcasing the hottest sought-after items that you truly must see to believe. 

A warm woman with an infectious smile, Som has remained committed to helping others her entire life, donating her time and energy to charities she cares deeply about.  Som returns each year to the community where she grew up outside of Bangkok, providing financial support, mentoring village children, and assisting at the local Buddhist temple.  Blessed with a lovely voice, she records and sells her CDs, donating all proceeds to the causes she believes in.

The name Somchintana means dreams come true, which is fitting.  Having earned a highly loyal and global customer, Som has been rewarded in life with the realization of her highest hopes, and no one could deserve it more.
